You can see the app running in the Mac menu bar. You can find instructions for syncing your local library to EndNote Web on the support page:ĮndNote X6 and later with EndNote online: Using Sync. When you set up OneDrive for the first time, the service keeps running in the background for syncing the latest files and pictures. Instead you can sync your EndNote library across devices (and access it online without installing EndNote) via EndNote Web. Cloud services won't do this correctly, and this risks the library becoming corrupted. The user can click the blue cloud icon in the notification area to open the OneDrive sync activity center and see the files syncing, open the local folder with the files, or open the SharePoint site in a web browser. After closing the wizard, the site will begin syncing.

The links to your online files still appear in File Explorer. The guest will continue through the OneDrive sync app setup wizard. An EndNote library contains several files that must be kept together and must be saved in a certain order. With this setting turned on, your OneDrive files are stored online instead of on your computer. EndNote libraries should not be saved onto OneDrive, or other cloud services like iCloud or Dropbox.
